Heritage care, conservation and cataloguing are core activities of the Museum Centre; at the same time the Centre promotes research and studies in collaboration with other organisations with the objective of highlight the historical and scientific value of the collections and updating the classification of the exhibits, especially in the light of modern discoveries and latest research techniques.

In line with the purposes listed in the University Third Mission, Museums play a pivotal role in  "transmitting culture" by disclosing and making the heritage accessible through a wide range of  engaging cultural initiatives.

The Museum Centre strongly believes and supports a multidisciplinary approach: it offers a variety of experiences such as temporary exhibitions, book presentations, study days, conferences and many other activities related to topical themes.
